Can we choose the location for our session?
Yes. Sessions can take place in your home, outdoors, or at a recommended location. If you already have a spot in mind, you're welcome to share it. If not, I'm always happy to suggest locations that suit your session type, the season, and the light.
Location details are finalised before your session, with comfort, safety, and the overall feel of your images always kept in mind.
Do you charge travel fees?
Travel is included for sessions within the Howard/Toogoom area.
For sessions held in surrounding locations like Hervey Bay and Maryborough, a small travel fee may apply to cover the time and travel involved.
This will always be discussed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises.
What if I don't feel confident in front of the camera?
You don't need to know how to pose. Sessions are gently guided with natural prompts so nothing ever feels stiff or awkward.
How many photos do we get?
You'll receive a curated gallery of all the best images from your session, with no additional image fees. What you see is what you receive. Each collection has an estimated minimum number of deliverable images.
What happens if the weather isn't ideal?
If the weather impacts an outdoor session, we'll chat through options together and reschedule if needed.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans are available for most sessions. A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance split into instalments leading up to your session date.
Payment plan options and timeframes vary depending on the type of session booked and how far in advance you enquire. If you're unsure what might work best for you, you're always welcome to reach out, and we can chat through available options.
All sessions must be paid in full before your session date.
Do you retouch photos?
I do minor retouching. I remove distractions in the background, baby spit up, or an annoying pimple that always shows up at the worst time! However, I will never retouch your body to remove moles, birthmarks, or anything that makes you unique.
What if my kids don't cooperate on the day?
That's normal! I'm super patient and experienced at working with kids. We'll keep things playful and easy-going, some of the sweetest moments come from the chaos.
However, if things get overwhelming or your kiddos really aren't feeling it, we try again another day. No fuss, no extra fees.
I'm pregnant, when should I book in for maternity and newborn sessions?
I recommend booking both sessions during your second trimester to ensure availability.
Maternity sessions are typically photographed between 28 and 34 weeks, while newborn sessions are pencilled in around your due date and scheduled once your baby arrives. This allows flexibility while ensuring your place is secured.
Do you keep our gallery backed up? What happens if we lose our images?
Galleries are kept online for up to 12 months following delivery and are removed as part of yearly archive cycles. Before your gallery is taken offline, you'll receive an email reminder to download and save your images.
All galleries are also securely stored on a hard drive as a backup, in case any issues arise and your images are ever lost. If a gallery needs to be re-uloaded and delivered again after it has expired, a small re-upload fee applies.
What if someone is unwell on the day?
If anyone in your household is unwell, it's always best to reschedule. I will work with you to find the next available date. Everyone's health and comfort come first.
